About PanelRisk

PanelRisk is an independent website about old electrical panels and wiring in U.S. homes. It is run by a small independent publisher, not by an electrician or an electrical contractor.

How pages are made

Pages are drafted with the help of AI writing tools and then checked line by line against the sources linked at the bottom of each page. Numbers such as prices come only from those sources. We do not publish reviews, testimonials, or "expert" profiles.

About our illustrations

Some pages use illustrations made with AI image tools — simple diagrams of where a panel sits, what a breaker does, or what a quote can include. They are there to help you picture the situation, not as evidence: they are not photos of real homes, jobs, or people, and we never present them as real photos. Every illustration is reviewed by a person before it is published, and pages that use them say so under the article.

What we don't do

We do not give instructions for electrical work. Electrical work can cause fire and electrocution; it should be done by a licensed electrician with the required permits.

How the site makes money

Some pages show a phone number that connects you with independent service providers. We may be paid when you call. See the Affiliate Disclosure.
